Julie – After the zoo we went to lunch. We tried a new place Char Bar No. 7. It is in Mountain Brook close to the zoo. We had the pretzels and beer cheese appetizer. I had what is called Smother Me Naked. It was grilled chicken covered with monterey jack cheese, caramelized onions and mushrooms on a sizzling skillet.  It came with a salad and a side. I chose broccoli for my side. You can also get it with a burger in place of the chicken. It was very good. We will be going back to eat here again.

After lunch we went to Cookie Fix in Homewood. We had heard of this place and last month we had cookies delivered to our office. There cookies are very yummy but are more salty than sweet. Jeff had a chocolate chip, I had a chocolate chip half dipped in chocolate with caramel bits on it. We had a 3rd cookie that we split, I thought the sign said that it has an Oreo in it, it looked like it might have one because there was a hump in the middle, but when we split the cookie there was no Oreo in sight. It was good whatever I had chosen thinking I was getting a chocolate chip Oreo cookie.

We walked around downtown Homewood and went in a few of the stores and looked around. It was a nice day to be out and about.
