Jeff – Julie had heard of Pastry Art Bake Shoppe in Homewood from somewhere, and had mentioned about trying their Baby Bites. We had wanted to get the Baby Bites for her birthday, but a few things prevented that. One was that they weren’t open on a Monday, so I learned I should have gotten them ahead of time. The other issue was that I ended up going to the ER on Julie’s birthday so that ruined that.
I’ve been trying to get back there since her birthday earlier this month. I finally had a chance and picked up some Baby Bites as a surprise to Julie on my way home from work. They sale them by the dozen, and had 12 Friday flavors but by the time i got there, they naturally didn’t have all 12 flavors left. They close at 5 pm, and i got there by 4:30. Thankfully they did have Baby Bites left though!!
We were able to try the following flavors: Caramel, Red Velvet, Chocolate, Strawberry, Vanilla, Carrot Cake, and Strawberry Margarita. They tasted excellent, and in spite of the name Baby Bites, are a good size, and surprised me with how big they are. They do take a couple of bites to eat it all! I probably liked the Strawberry the best, but I love Strawberry cake anyway. My second favorite was probably the Caramel.
We’ll go back soon and hopefully try the other flavors!
Julie: So we closed out birthday month with baby bites. I had heard about Pastry Art when they used to be brought into work for us. They are very yummy.
