Burning Tree Smokehouse

We recently went from Irondale through Avondale into downtown Birmingham. Along the way we passed the Burning Tree Smokehouse on 3rd Avenue South near Pepper Place. We added it to our list of places to try.

We had a rare weekend home, seems that lately our weekends are for traveling. We decided to have lunch at the Burning Tree.

I had the smoked turkey and side salad. I ordered the corn, which was the daily side option, but I’m not a fan of corn on the cob because it gets in your teeth. LOL! So I gave it to Jeff to go with this cheeseburger and fries. Everything was delicious. Next time I’d ask for my bbq sauce on the side just because I like smoked turkey without the sauce, but sometimes you want to add a little sauce to your bite.

The inside was tastefully decorated with pictures of animals on the walls. There were football and rugby on the TVs. They had 4 single restrooms each with a different sign on the door. LOL!
