We had a weekend of Italian food at a couple of new restaurants in Leeds, AL. We started on Saturday with pizza and ice cream at Sweet Caroline’s Pizzeria and Creamery in downtown Leeds. This was their opening weekend. They were busy and we had a wait for food which was understandable. They serve Ice Cream Club ice cream. We had one of the seasonal options, Peppermint Flash. We had a pepperoni pizza and cheesy garlic bread. The pizza was just okay. The bread was good.

On Sunday we were the first customers of the day at Primo Grill Pizza and Pasta also in Leeds. It is in a really small restaurant building that was a barbecue restaurant when we moved to the area. They have seating for about 20 people. Here we had the meatball appetizer, cheesy bread, we didn’t know that they serve garlic knots with their meals. Jeff had fettuccine Alfredo and I had spaghetti and meatballs. Everything was delicious. The couple that came in after us had pizza and it looked really good. We’ve got to make plans to go back for pizza.

We’ve read on social media about how busy Primo stays. You have to order in person. They don’t have online ordering. Read that they also don’t answer the phone.
Good to see both businesses with lots of customers and everyone keeping them busy. We are glad to have Italian and ice cream options in the area.
