Happy Birthday to Me!!

For my birthday we went to The Cheesecake Factory. It is a place that we’ve been to many times over the years. The food is always delicious and the portions are huge. Our waitress started by asking if we were there celebrating anything. I let her know it was my birthday she asked if we wanted to keep it low-key or did I want them to sing and everything. I opted for low-key and when she brought my dessert the plate it said happy birthday and there was a candle in the whipped cream that she lit for me as she was setting the plate down.

If you’ve never been there the menu can be overwhelming as it is 21 pages and has 250 items to choose from. Yes I did take a picture of each page, but I am choosing not to upload all of the pages. Our favorite item of that 250 is the crusted chicken Romano. You can’t go wrong if you order it. I prefer it with the tomato based cream sauce and Jeff prefers the alfredo sauce. They also have a delicious wedge salad. This trip we started with the street corn appetizer. As you know from past blogs, if it’s on the menu we are going to try it. This one was delicious, just like everything else that we have had there. Jeff had the crusted chicken Romano and since I knew I was going to have dessert I opted to order the grilled steak medallions with mashed potatoes and asparagus from the skinnylicious menu. That was the best asparagus I have ever eaten. I don’t eat it a lot, as it is not one of my favorite vegetables, but this was cooked and seasoned really well.

For dessert I had the Dulce De Leche caramel cheesecake and Jeff had the Dream Extreme Cheesecake which had Oreo’s. There was a picture of it on the door, and unfortunately it didn’t have as many Oreo’s as the picture, but it was a really good slice of cheesecake.

Here’s to another trip around the sun!! More memories made! Jesus keep ’em coming!!
